Christmas with Freya

2018-12-09

A big week - lots of pictures, and fair warning: three videos, so the page may take some time to load.

I had school, and I chopped some snow, and Daddy pulled out one of my teeth - the little one that's been loose but hanging on for a couple of months now. I didn't like it, but it was over fast and everything was okay.

Chopping snow before school.

Still chopping...

My tooth.

We went to visit Freya this weekend and see her perform in the St. Lucia program at her church. She sang solo on a song and got to be a gingerbread person (I thought she looked like a brown barbaloot from The Lorax). We also went to a outdoor market like the one we are doing next week at home, and we got to see the 261 steam engine actually working! It was amazing.

Gingerbread Freya.

In the car - Mommy wasn't having much fun.

She didn't want to sing and be silly, I guess.

Me and the 261 steam engine.

Here's the engine chuffing back to the station

Playing giant chess.

After all the fun at the market, we went back to Freya's and opened presents. And then we read some books and put on a show for the grown-ups, which included singing, dancing, hula hoops, costumes, magic, and a lot of laughing and screaming.

Opening presents.

I got Harry's wand!

And a new stuffy!

Very excited about the stuffy.

Reading to Freya.

Mommy.

Playing with the wand, practicing spells.

Freya threatening to squirt mustard on people as part of our show.

Freya dressed up...

...and being silly.

Sunday morning we took it easy and stayed home. We played Go Nuts for for Donuts, Freddie's Food Truck, Candyland, and Sorry! We also watched Frosty the Snowman.

Playing Candyland.

And then we went home. Freya went to a ice skating show and we had to make it back to see the Holiday Train!

Waiting for the Holiday Train

Here it comes!

Here's the band! They were loud!

The sleigh.

Snowman.

A reindeer.

Me with the engine.

Most of the train - the rest was blocked by an ugly sign.

We also watched the Holiday Train go past our house, but the camera battery was empty, so no pictures. It was really cool, though.

And that was my week - next week is the Winter Market! Take care!
