This was a busy week. We had a lot of fun doing all kinds of new things. And there are a lot of pictures.
Monday we started out playing Mille Bornes, a car racing card game. Then we went to the Zoo and watched a movie about pandas - it was my first IMAX and first 3D movie. We also went to the bird show. After all that we went back to the house for a bit before Daddy and I took the train downtown to the baseball stadium to see a game. It was my first major league game - too bad the Twins lost. And then I got to run the bases after the game! It was awesome. Daddy was jealous - they wouldn't let any of the adults on the grass. We didn't get back to the house until 11:00 PM.
I win again!

C'mon, Dad! Let's go run the bases!
Headed home!
I did it.
Tuesday we went to the history center, which is a really cool building so big it has an airplane inside it! And a grain elevator! And a mine! I had a lot of fun with the exhibits for kids - not so much looking at those for adults. When we were done with that, we went to see Minnehaha Falls, and Daddy and I walked in the woods for a while.

Wednesday morning we started out by going to Lock and Dam No.1. Then we went to Fort Snelling, or "Old HQ" as I called it. We played baseball and watched some soldiers fire guns and a cannon. We stopped at the house for a little lunch, then went downtown to the Mill City Museum, which is in an old flour mill. We had a fun elevator ride, saw where all the grain came in, and looked at the city from way up high. When we finished at the museum we went to a dessert restaurant that Mommy's friend Christina has. We had some really good ice cream and all of the spoons and forks were gold!

Thursday we went to the James J. Hill House, which was once the largest house in the state! There were a lot of rooms - it was a really big place. I liked the bolier room best - it had two big coal furnaces that looked like steam engines. Then we went to the capitol building - it was so big. But Daddy managed to find a cool LEGO model while he was wondering around. Freya, Josh, and Kara came home that day, and Freya opened some of her birthday presents.

What a beautiful building.

Friday morning we went to the State Fair! It was rainy the whole day, but at least it wasn't hot and no one got sunburned! We had waffles and pickles and ice cream and pizza and mini donuts and we went on rides and looked at tractors and we got soaked during a downpour that happened when we were about as far away from a building as we could get.
Waffles for breakfast at the fair.
Visiting some horses.
This is one of the zoo horses - his name is Ritchie.
Hiding from the rain - it rained all day at the fair.

Saturday we celebrated Freya's birthday at the Science Museum. We did some science experiments and then had lunch. After that, we visited the museum. I went to my first Omnitheater show with GG, Mommy, and Daddy. And then we played with LEGO for a long time at the LEGO exhibit that had models of skyscrapers. We also looked at some dinosaurs and some fake science stuff, and then we headed home.

All the models people built - Daddy's was the tallest!
Sunday was a quiet day. I played LEGO in the basement all morning, then Daddy and I rode our bikes around the lake. We built some more LEGO in the afternoon, and then had supper. And that was my week. I bet Dad is going to find it relaxing to go back to work on Monday.
Take care!
