A Long, Full Week

2016-08-14

Lots of pictures this week - so let's get started!

I spent the week at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's house. I didn't get to see much of Grandpa because he was working so much. But on Monday I saw Aunt Diane because she stayed with me while Uncle Neil took Grandma to a doctor appointment.

Keeping busy playing with my trains.

Tuesday I went to visit GG and Grandpa Kevin. I played with the pups and went to the playground and talked to Kevin about volcanoes - he lived by a volcano when it erupted!

Having some ice cream - yum!

Relaxing outside with some cold water.

Wednesday it was just me, Grandma Wynne, Uncle Neil, and Duke at the house. I saw Grandpa Al before and after work. But on Thursday I had some visitors - Aunt Jenn and Great-grandma Darlene came over for the day. And I got to see a picture of Uncle Bob's new tractor - which was very exciting. I'll get to see it in person in a couple weeks.

Me with Jenn and Great-grandma.

For those of you who aren't friends with Mommy on Facebook, she was doing some baking this week - that's why I was out of the way at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Getting ready to make cheesecakes!

That is a lot of butter...

Grandpa Al had Friday off, and we went to visit Janice and Jerry - they have a lot of tractors. My favorite was the 4020.

Me on the 4020. I am ready to get to work.

Some wooden toys Jerry and Janice made - they look like some I have, but mine are plastic.

Me with Janice and Jerry.

Me with Grandpa Al. He looks tired. He's holding my newest truck I talked him into buying me.

Me with Grandma Wynne.

While all that was going on, it was raining at home. Daddy took this picture while he was trapped at work waiting for the streets to stop being flooded.

The middle of campus isn't normally a lake.

Mommy was busy making brownies - three big pans.

And she made a few (about 600) chocolate chip cookies.

Saturday Mommy and Daddy came to get me so we could go to a wedding party for Cousin Liza and Kevin. Daddy got a picture of our sunflower that finally bloomed before they left home.

It's a big flower - about nine or ten feet tall.

On the road in a car full of desserts!

Mommy taking a selfie with her new phone.

When we got to the town where the party was, we dropped off the desserts, had some lunch, then Daddy and I stayed at the hotel and Mommy went to do all the work setting up the treats - she had to put on the frosting and whipped cream. Daddy and I went swimming, and Josh and Freya joined us when they got to the hotel.

The desserts all set up at the wedding party.

Here's my Mommy - looking pretty for the party.

Uncle Mike, watching all the people come and go.

Daddy and Buddy - I insisted on bringing a bear to the party.

Me and Daddy.

Smiling this time.

Being silly again.

Playing with Jacob.

Freya running wild.

A lot of kids at this party.

Me and Freya.

And again.

Then Aunt Cindy grabbed me!

After supper we went out to play. Me, Josh, John, Ava, and Lila.

Ready! Set! Go!

Racing Freya on the golf course!

That was a fun party! I went back to the hotel before it was over and I went right to sleep.

Sunday morning we went swimming again, and played in the hotel room while gifts were opened.

Splashing in the pool with Daddy, Freya, and Josh.

Found you Auntie Ali!

We left the hotel and went to the lake for a little while - it was a beautiful day to be outside.

Freya riding in my car. I'm not to happy she grabbed my raccoon.

The lake - that's Great-grandpa Eldon on the dock.

Auntie Kara talking to Great-grandma Joan.

Me and Mommy by Grandpa Joe's tree.

Playing with Jacob in the sandbox.

Looking for more toys.

In the hammock with Freya.

Talking to Jacob

Saying good-bye to Great-grandma.

Showing off the rock I found.

We left the lake and had a late lunch with Kara, Josh, and Freya in a restaurant where Mommy and Kara used to go when they were kids. We had fun - except when Daddy scared Freya and she fell and bumped her head. Not cool, Dad. But she was okay after a few minutes.

Saying goodbye to Freya.

One last look at the little statues.

I slept most of the way back to Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's house. We had to stop and get the rest of my stuff. And Mommy needed a nap. We got home a little later than expected, and I stayed up a lot later than Mommy and Daddy wanted me to, but it was all okay.

It was great seeing so many people this week - thanks for having fun with me!

Take care!
