School was out for a week, so I went with Daddy on a little adventure while Mommy finished getting an "A" in her first summer class.
We started by going to Grandpa Al and Grandma Wynne's house - so of course I rode in the truck. And I rode a long time: we left town at 7:30 and didn't get back until almost 1:30 - way past my usual dinner time and into my normal nap time.
Relaxing in the car while Grandpa pumped the milk onto his truck.
Trying to persuade Grandpa to let me ride a little longer.
Then I finally got what I have been asking for every morning for months: we went to Bob's house to ride the tractors and the Gator and the loader and the trucks!
Jenn took me for the first of many rides on the golf cart when we arrived.

Before I went to see all the machinery, I helped Jenn plant some flowers.
Doing a bit of gardening.
Then we went to the shed to see some of Bob's toys.

Checking out the view from the air seeder.
On the smaller bulldozer (the big one was too hard for me to climb up).
In the loader.
Climbing down from one of Bob's other tractors.
And then out to the old farm site to see more of Bob's toys.
Riding the 4-wheeler out to where the excavator was parked.
Sitting in the excavator.
This one of Bob's new trucks - Daddy and I took it for a spin.
After lunch we went to ride with Bob in the big red tractor. Daddy forgot to get a picture, but it is the same as last year (click here to see the tractor with a smaller version of me in the picture from last year's visit over the 4th of July).
On the way out to the field we saw my truck: it's orange and it has my name on it!

I also spent some time riding the Gator with Daddy when we went back to the shed and looked at all the trucks and tractors again.
I also helped Jenn plant some more flowers.
I was going to get to ride in the tractor again, but a storm rolled in and dumped a lot of rain on Bob's fields - it was too muddy to work. I played in the house and went to a park with Jenn and Daddy and Grandma Wynne during a break in the rain.
The next day, we took a last ride in the golf cart and the battery died. Daddy had to push it a long way back to the house. He let me steer while he was pushing the cart. I also got one more ride on the lawn mower before the long ride in the car to get back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Sunday was Grandpa Al's birthday. I sang to Happy Birthday to him. And Great-Grandma Dorothy, Auntie Diane, Uncle Milton, Uncle Bill, and Uncle David all came over for a little while. Daddy even managed to get me to sit still for a picture with Great-grandma Dorothy. And Daddy took a picture without me, too.
Grandpa Al brought us home in the afternoon and I found out Mommy planted a garden while we were gone! Now I can help Mommy garden, too! Duke was happy to see us, and Grandpa stayed to play with me for a while. Daddy gave me a bath and Mommy made pizza for supper. I had a great week! And I'm already excited to ride Bob''s tractor again.
That's all for now - take care!
