Valentine's Day and At the Movies

2014-02-16

This week was Valentine's Day and my first trip to the movie theater!

On Wednesday, all the mail was for me! I had lots of Valentines to open.

There was some green paper in this card.

Great-grandma Dorothy's hand-made card.

My card from Little Miss Freya.

The rest of the week was uneventful, but Daddy and Mommy said we would see a movie on Saturday. They didn't mention that Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al were coming too, so I was surprised.

The movie I wanted to see was the LEGO movie. Here I am, warming up my building skills shortly before we left for the theater.

Working on one of my LEGO cars.

And here we are at the theater.

Entering the movie theater with Daddy and Grandpa Al.

"Here's my ticket, sir."

Coming into the theater!

Running to my seat!

Waiting for the movie to start with Grandma Wynne, Grandpa Al, and Daddy. (Mommy took the picture).

"This screen is a lot bigger than the iPad, Daddy."

I liked the movie, especially watching Emmett do silly things and all the trucks and construction equipment. And I sat through more than half of it before I got restless. But all the flashing/flickering lights and fighting was a little scary. I'm just not used to that on such a big screen. It was a little overwhelming.

After the movie I played with Grandma and Grandpa for a while, then we went out for supper. I had a grilled cheese and I saw one of my friends from school at the restaurant. He was having supper with his grandparents, too.

On Sunday we stayed home. Mommy went to work in the afternoon, and Daddy and I watched The Jungle Book (that Grandpa and Grandma just gave me). I liked Baloo the bear. He was funny.

I also did some LEGO building...

My first 100% built-on-my-own LEGO creation.

My feet. And one of Daddy's.

Me and Daddy taking a break from reading about Curious George.

That's all for this week! Take care everyone!
