Another EEG

2013-01-13

This week I had my third EEG - and this time the doctor actually saw something.

From the day before the EEG.

Arriving at my appointment:

Is this the place?

What? You said it was gonna take long time, so I brought a little lunch.

Getting the electrodes on was not fun. This lady marked me up with a crayon and then glued them to my head!

All hooked up (no pictures of the actual process - it wasn't a happy event).

Showing Mommy what I think about my morning so far.

Electrode Boy, enjoying a snack.

The EEG went way better than expected. The test was supposed to last six hours, but the doctor captured what he needed to see in an hour, so we were done early. And the doctor moved up our follow-up visit to the morning, so we didn't even have to wait very long for that.

I have some new medicine to take now, and I'll have some more tests next month - but the doctor is happy he saw what is going on in my brain and is working on figuring out why it is happening.

Right after I was done with the doctor, I had to have some blood drawn. Just like Daddy, the nurses had trouble finding a vein to use and they had to poke me twice. There was some screaming.

Then we went for lunch.

I don't remember what Kara was so excited about, but this picture was too good not to share.

Enjoying my grilled cheese.

Grandma with the balloons she bought for me.

Still working on lunch.

Sheldon guarding my milk.

That was the big excitement for the week. Otherwise, I went to school, and then I went to Daddy's work, which is now Mommy's work too, since she's going back to school and got a student job.

Snuggling with Mommy.

Relaxing with Mommy.

At work, which is also the same place Mommy and I go to school.

Checking out Tammi's fun hat.

Yellow dot on this one. What could that mean?

Mommy with her books for school.

It must be here somewhere....

And then I got sick. I've had a fever since Friday afternoon and I've spent a lot of time sitting with Mommy and Daddy reading books, watching a couple of movies (me and Daddy really like The Lorax), and sleeping - when I'm not coughing too much. Hopefully I'll be better for my birthday party next week.

Take care everyone!
