Mommy came back from her conference in Virginia and I am feeling better.
While Mommy was away, I stayed with Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al. Daddy was there most of the time, but he had to leave sometimes to go to work.
Daddy and I went to see Great-grandma Darlene this week, and Rhonda came to visit her, so I got to see them both.

Later in the week we went with Grandma Wynne and Mommy and Auntie Kara to a museum. Before we left to go we had to get Grandpa's van so there would be enough room for all of us - and Grandpa surprised us by showing up right when we got there! So before we left I got to sit in Grandpa's truck!
In Grandpa's truck.
When we got to the museum we saw old train cars we could walk into and a big orange train we could walk right up to and an old bus. The museum even had toys and other kids to play with!
Making friends.
Then we went outside and there was a real train we could walk right up and see!
Mommy! Daddy! A train! Did you see it!
But it was even better than that: Mommy and Daddy said we were going to ride on the train!
I get to ride on a train!
All these other people must like trains, too. Not as much as me, because we are first in line.
We waited and waited and then it was time to get on the train. The brakeman asked who was first in line, and Daddy told him that we were. The brakeman said, "Do you want to ride in the caboose or the engine?" And Daddy said, "The engine."
So we got to ride in the engine. The engine!
All aboard!
Mommy was very excited as well.
Wooooo! Wooooo!

I'm in a train! Can you believe it?
Thank you Daddy and Mommy for getting me on a train.
Grandma Gail had to work on Mother's Day, so we went to visit her and brought her flowers and a present. She was really surprised to see us. We pretended we were customers and she she didn't notice us right away.
Daddy drew a picture of me and Mommy that we gave to Grandma Gail.
We also went to see Great-grandma Dorothy for Mother's Day.

Me with Katie.
And here are some pictures of me that Uncle John took.

When we got home from all of our adventures, Mommy and Daddy and I went out to eat so Mommy wouldn't have to cook on Mother's Day. We went to the drive-in and I got my own food for the first time! I ate a grilled cheese and some mashed potatoes. Mommy and Daddy shared their french fries with me, too. I also had some beets that Mommy brought along (those were my favorite). I was supposed to get an ice cream cone, but Daddy ate it. (It's okay, I don't like ice cream, anyway).
And that was all for the week. I know there is no way you had as much fun as I did, but I hope you had some fun. Take care everybody!
