Welcome back to the blog!
This week my neighbors Leighton and Elliot brought me over a new toy that I can use to walk around by myself. Mommy and Daddy like to watch me wander around the house - but Duke isn't too fond of it. Every time I get pointed in his direction he gets up and moves somewhere else.
I love my new toy!
Jenna came to visit, but I didn't get to see her much. She went out to eat with Mommy and it was my bedtime when they came back to my house. Next time I hope she can stay longer to play with me.
See, Jenna, this is my new toy.
On Saturday morning, I woke up early. At 3:00 AM. Daddy took me for a walk with Duke at 4:30 AM, and then we packed up to go visiting Mommy's family out west. We took the scenic route since Mommy and Daddy prefer to avoid the Interstate.
Duke wants to know why I am up and moving around at 4:18 AM.
Along the way I needed a break from the van, so we stopped in a little town and ate at RESTAURANT (that's what the sign said). I had a pancake, which Mommy and Daddy also sampled. It was yummy, but not as good as Mommy's.
Waiting for my pancake at RESTAURANT.
We stopped to visit Grandpa Joe's marker on the way to Great-grandma Joan and Great-grandpa Eldon's house. The wind was very strong at the cemetery.

We had lunch at Great-grandma and Great-grandpa's house, and then I got to open birthday presents. Since there was a snow/ice storm the day before my birthday, most of Mommy's family wasn't able to come to my party.
Presents! Is it my birthday again already? Thanks for the new shirt and shorts Great-grandma and Great-grandpa!
Jacob is showing me his toy cars.
My new farm - thanks Ross, Cindy, Liza, Kevin, Syndey, and Jacob!
While the big people talked, Jacob and I played with my trucks.

See, Jacob, this is how it works.
The weather was warm and the sun was out, so we went outside to play. I walked all over the lawn (with a little help from my toy).
Wandering around the yard.
You are so far away!
We also played with the trucks outside.
Let's get some dirt in here.
Are you ever going to stop taking pictures?
And someone put funny hats on me and Jacob.
This hat better not have any glitter on it.

When it was about time for me to eat again, we went to Great-grandpa Les and Great-grandma Muriel's house, where we spent the night. I had fun there, too, but we stayed inside. And I woke up early again on Sunday morning - 4:00 AM this time. Daddy played with me and fed me and I went back to sleep at 6:00 AM for a few hours.

Now Great-grandma Muriel is feeding me carrots.
I'm happy and I have crazy hair!
I'm going to walk any day now...
On our way home Mommy put out some new flowers for Grandpa Joe. The colors are for his favorite football team. The wind was even stronger on Sunday than on Saturday, and Mommy wondered if the flowers were going to blow away and end up in the lake. Daddy said Grandpa Joe would probably think that was funny.

I slept about half of the way home. Mommy rode in the back with me for a little while and we had lots of fun. We stopped to get Duke at Grandma Wynne and Grandpa Al's, and Grandpa Al showed me pictures of the new truck he wants to buy. It's really, really BIG.
I was very hungry when we got home, so Mommy and Daddy took turns feeding me while they put our stuff away. I played with my toys for a little while and then Daddy put me to bed. It was a big weekend for all of us.
Take care everyone!
